Will your information be shared with anyone else?
We may disclose your personal information with our service providers pursuant to a written contract between us and each service provider. Each service provider is a for-profit entity that processes the information on our behalf, following the same strict privacy protection obligations mandated by the CCPA.

15. HOW CAN YOU REVIEW, UPDATE, OR DELETE THE DATA WE COLLECT FROM YOU?
You have the right to request access to the personal information we collect from you, change that information, or delete it. To request to review, update, or delete your personal information, please visit: https://stride.is.
16. HOW DO WE HANDLE GARMIN CONNECT DATA?
In Short: If you choose to connect your Garmin account, we collect and process the Garmin data you authorize solely to provide our Services. Connecting is optional, you can disconnect at any time, and we delete Garmin-sourced data when you disconnect or delete your account.
Stride integrates with Garmin Connect™ so that, if you choose, your Garmin activity and health data can flow into the Services. This section explains specifically how that Garmin data is collected, used, processed, and stored. It supplements the rest of this notice; to the extent this section conflicts with another section with respect to Garmin data, this section controls. Your use of Garmin devices and Garmin Connect is also governed by Garmin's own privacy policy, available at https://www.garmin.com/en-US/privacy/connect/.
What Garmin data we collect
We receive Garmin data only after you explicitly connect your Garmin account through Garmin's authorization (OAuth) flow. We never receive your Garmin username or password. Once connected, and depending on what you record on your Garmin device, we may receive:
- Activity data — completed and planned workouts and their recorded files, including time, duration, distance, GPS route, elevation, speed, pace, power, heart rate, cadence, and derived training metrics;
- Health and wellness metrics — such as heart rate and resting heart rate, heart rate variability (HRV), sleep, stress, and body composition or weight;
- Cycle tracking data — where you log it in Garmin, menstrual cycle and period information;
- Account identifiers — the basic identifiers Garmin provides so we can link your Garmin account to your Stride account.
We request only the data needed to provide the features you use.
How we use Garmin data
We use Garmin data solely to provide and improve the Services for you — for example, to display your activities on your calendar; analyze completed and planned training; compute training load, fatigue, form, power and heart-rate curves, thresholds, and cycle phases; and generate the insights you request. We do not sell Garmin data, and we do not use it for advertising or share it with third parties for their own marketing.
How we process Garmin data
Garmin data is transmitted to us over Garmin's APIs and processed on our servers to derive the analytics and insights described above. Some processing is performed by service providers acting on our behalf, such as cloud hosting and, where you use AI-powered features, the model providers that generate insights. These providers process Garmin data only to perform services for us, under obligations consistent with this notice, and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes.
When you use an AI-powered feature, only the Garmin data needed for that request is sent to our AI model provider, and only for as long as it takes to generate the response. It is processed transiently: it is not retained by the provider after the response is returned, is not used to train the provider's models, and is not used for any purpose other than producing the requested insight for us. We do not send Garmin data to any AI provider except to fulfil a feature you have chosen to use.
How we store and secure Garmin data
Garmin data is stored on our infrastructure and protected with the organizational and technical safeguards described in "HOW DO WE KEEP YOUR INFORMATION SAFE?", including encryption in transit and access controls that limit access to authorized personnel who need it to operate the Services.
How long we keep Garmin data, and how to delete it
We keep Garmin data while your Garmin connection is active and your account is in use, so your history stays available to you. You can disconnect Garmin at any time from your account settings, which stops any further syncing of Garmin data. You may also request that we delete your Garmin data or delete your Stride account entirely. When you disconnect Garmin or delete your account, we delete the Garmin-sourced data associated with your account, and we honor deletion requests received through Garmin, except where we are required to retain certain information to comply with law.
Sharing of Garmin data
Your choices
Connecting Garmin is optional and entirely under your control. You can connect or disconnect your Garmin account at any time from Stride's settings, and you can manage the data your Garmin device records and shares from within Garmin Connect.
17. HOW DO WE HANDLE WHOOP DATA?
In Short: If you choose to connect your WHOOP account, we collect and process the WHOOP data you authorise solely to provide our Services. Connecting is optional and you can disconnect at any time.
Stride uses the WHOOP API so that, if you choose, your WHOOP recovery, sleep and workout data can flow into the Services. This section explains how that WHOOP data is collected, used, shared and stored. It supplements the rest of this notice; to the extent this section conflicts with another section with respect to WHOOP data, this section controls. Your use of WHOOP is also governed by WHOOP's own privacy policy, available at https://www.whoop.com/privacy/.
What WHOOP data we collect
We receive WHOOP data only after you explicitly connect your WHOOP account through WHOOP's authorisation (OAuth) flow. We never receive your WHOOP password. Once connected, we may receive:
- Recovery data: your recovery score, heart rate variability (HRV) and resting heart rate;
- Sleep data: sleep and wake times, sleep stages, sleep efficiency, respiratory rate and sleep performance score;
- Workout data: sport, start and end times, duration, heart rate, energy expenditure and strain;
- Account identifiers: your WHOOP user ID and basic profile, so we can link your WHOOP account to your Stride account.
How we use WHOOP data
We use WHOOP data to provide the Services to you: to show your recovery, sleep and workouts on your calendar and dashboard, labelled as coming from WHOOP; to compute training load and our own wellness scores; and, when you use an AI-powered feature such as insights, the AI Planner or chat, as an input so that your training can adapt to how recovered you are. We do not sell WHOOP data and we do not use it for advertising.
How we process WHOOP data
WHOOP data is processed on our servers and by service providers acting on our behalf, such as cloud hosting and, where you use AI-powered features, our AI model providers. When you use an AI-powered feature, only the WHOOP data needed for that request is sent to the AI model provider. It is processed transiently: it is not retained by the provider after the response is returned and is not used to train the provider's models or for any other purpose.
Who can see WHOOP data
Your WHOOP data is visible to you and, if you join a team, to that team's coaches and administrators as described in "WHEN AND WITH WHOM DO WE SHARE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION?". If you authorise a third-party application or AI assistant to access your Stride account, it can read your WHOOP data within the permissions you grant. We do not transfer WHOOP data to third parties for their independent use.
How we store WHOOP data, and how to delete it
WHOOP data is stored on our infrastructure, encrypted in transit and at rest, with access limited to authorised personnel who need it to operate the Services. Disconnecting WHOOP from your account settings stops any further syncing and revokes our access to your WHOOP account. WHOOP data that has already been synced stays in your training history until you delete your Stride account or ask us to delete it by emailing info@stride.is.
