Comparing Activities

How to Use Activity Comparison in Stride (Desktop Only)

1
Open the Activity Detail Page

On desktop, navigate to any activity detail page for a ride, run, or other session you want to analyse.

2
Open the Comparison View

Click the Compare option on the activity detail page to open the comparison view.

3
Select Activities to Compare

In the comparison view, choose one or more additional activities to compare against the current activity.

4
Use Interactive Charts

Overlay power, heart rate, speed, cadence, and elevation from multiple activities on a single chart. Hover over the chart to see exact values at any point in time or distance.

5
Compare Routes on the Map

Use the map overlay to view GPS routes from all selected activities on a single map. This helps you compare different approaches to the same route or see how closely you matched a previous effort.

6
Review Summary Statistics

Compare key metrics side by side, including:

  • Total distance
7
Run a Gap Analysis

Use Gap Analysis to see where you gained or lost time relative to another effort on the same route. This highlights sections where your pacing, power, or technique differed.

Tips for Effective Activity Comparisons
  • Compare activities on the same course for the most meaningful insights.
  • Track progress over time by comparing recent efforts with older ones.
  • Look at both average power and normalised power to understand pacing differences and how evenly you distributed your effort.
