AI Insights

After you finish a session, Stride AI looks at it in detail and writes a short insight: what went well, what did not, and what it means for the next few days. It reads the recording, your recent training, your recovery and anything you wrote on the activity.

Which sessions get an insight#

  • Rides of 15 minutes or longer, indoors or out.
  • Runs and swims of any length.
  • Strength sessions you log set by set in Stride.

Activities with "commute" in the title are skipped, as are activities that reach Stride more than two days after you recorded them, such as an old file you import. WHOOP workouts arrive as a summary without a recording, so they do not get one either.

When it appears#

Stride waits about ten minutes after an activity arrives before writing its insight, so there is time to add your RPE, feel and a comment. All of them are taken into account. The insight appears on the activity under AI Insight, and you get a notification when it is ready (you can turn these off with AI Insights in your notification settings).

If the AI service is having problems, insights are queued and written once it recovers, up to two days later.

Stride writes up to four activity insights a day. If you record more sessions than that, the later ones do not get one.

Reading an insight#

An insight gives the key points first, then a fuller analysis and a suggestion for what to do next. On the web, select a passage to jump to that moment on the activity's charts. For a planned session it also says how closely you followed each interval.

Changing your plan#

An insight tells you when it thinks a change to your upcoming training is worth making, but it does not change your calendar itself. To act on it, ask Stride AI in the chat, for example "Yesterday's insight says I'm tired, adjust this week".

An insight cannot be edited or run again once it is written, but you can always ask Stride AI about the session.

Weekly and monthly reviews#

Weekly and monthly reviews are paused while they are being improved.

Good to know#

  • Insights need an active trial or subscription.
  • They do not count towards your AI usage.
  • The more you tell Stride (RPE, comments, voice notes), the more useful the insight.
  • If you coach, your athletes' insights also appear on the coach dashboard.
